UNACCO Khongman, Meitram conduct motivational session for students

UNACCO School, Khongman organised a motivational session today for the students of standard IX and X of the school at the school campus.
The motivational session was organised with the intent of instilling the importance of motivation in the minds of the students as well as pushing them forward towards their goals.
Dr RK Lenin Singh, MD Psychiatry, AlIMS, New Delhi, PhD Manipur University and Professor and Head of Department, Department of Psychiatry, RIMS was the guest speaker at the event.
In his speech, Dr RK Lenin Singh highlighted the importance of mental and physical health to the students.
He also pointed out the good qualities of a student and touched upon the importance of self-independence in life.
He also emphasized on the difference between the relationship between teachers and students in the past and at present.
The keynote speaker stated that learning to live independently should be the prime concern of giving education to students.
Dr RK Lenin also called attention to the various roles that each parents have to play in shaping their child.
Other important points included self-care and grooming as a minimum necessity, keeping a hobby, having a purposeful and positive frame of mind, danger of anger, desire, lust, pride and the importance of interpersonal relationships.
Separately, UNACCO School, Meitram also organised a similar motivational session for the students of Class IX & X at the Refectory Hall of the school at Meitram.
Dr Dhanabir Laishram, Social Scientist graced the event as speaker.
Over 350 students attended the session.
Dr Dhanabir Laishram delivered a speech on time management and self-philosophy.
He stressed the need for discipline to be successful in life on the students.
Further in his speech, he reinforced and explained how to 'invent your future' with proper preparation through a simple way of reflecting on the "SQRRR" (Survey/ Question/ Reading/ Recite/ Review) system.
The session concluded with an interaction with the students.
