FOB Senapati organises ICOP

Imphal, January 05 2022:
Field Outreach Bureau (FOB), Senapati under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting organised an Integrated Communication & Outreach Programme (ICOP) on Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and Covid-19 vaccination at Khabung Karong Church community hall in Senapati district on Wednesday.
Khabung Karong village chairman Daijohnny and secretary Vathi Nelson attended the programme as presidium members while Senapati District Hospital senior medical officer Dr Jacob attended as resource person.
Delivering the keynote address, field publicity officer Waribam Urmila said that the event was organised to celebrate India's 75th years of independence and also to create awareness on the need for vaccination against Covid-19 .
In his address, Dr Jacob explained about Covid-19 and its variants and urged everyone to get vaccinated at the earliest.
He stated that taking the vaccine will help prevent infection from COVID-19 or facilitate speedy recovery even if one contracts the disease.
He also maintained that a booster dose in addition to the 1st and 2nd dose of the Covid-19 vaccine will be administered from January 10.A two-day photo exhibition on Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav was also organised as part of the ICOP with Daijohnny inaugurating it.
Thirty photos of leaders who contributed to India's independence were exhibited.
As part of the outreach programme, a quiz competition moderated by field publicity assistant A Sankhil George was also organised and prizes were distributed.
