Intending candidate assures household tap water connection in Uripok AC

Khurai MLA L Susindro laid foundation stones for several projects to be taken up at nine different locations and inaugurated a community hall and a park in his constituency on Wednesday.
The MLA laid the foundation stones for TRYSCA club building, Leichabi Kbngpal Chingangbam Leikai comrriunity hall and bridge, water supply and Children Park at Angom Leikai, bridge at Phaknung, water supply at Nandeibam Leikai, Khabeisoi water supply and bridge at Khabeisoi 7th MR.Moreover, he inaugurated Kong-pal Chingangbam Leikai Bamon Mandop, Kangla Sangomsang community hall and a children park at Nandeibam Leikai.
Speaking at the event, MLA Susindro regretted that the department concerned could not complete the new Lamlong Keithel as the construction work was impeded due to conflict between engineer and contractor.
He further assured of upgrading wooden bridges in Phaknung and Moirangkampu Sajeb into RCC bridges and to lay foundation stone for construction of three bridges over Iril River and Kongba River.
Meanwhile, Sagolband MLA Rk Imo released a brochure highlighting the development activities taken up by him during his five-year term and distributed pension to widows not covered by the government scheme at his residence on Wednesday.
Speaking at the event, MLA Rk Imo pointed out that there is no rule which says that only the con- stituencies of the ministers will be developed.
If representative of the people works sincerely, then no work is impossible.
Sagolband constituency has been progressing when compared to some other constituencies which have ministers, he claimed.
The programme was attended by SCPC president L Noba, IMC ward no 7 corporator RK Jiten and IMC ward no.10 corporator S Jiten among others.
Pension for three months were distributed to 250 widows.
On the other-hand, BJP's intending candidate in Uripok assembly constituency Khwairakpam Raghumani has assured of providing tap water connection to every household in the constituency if he gets elected in the 2022 state assembly election.
Addressing a poll campaign meeting held at Uripok Bachaspati Leikai on Wednesday, Raghumani said that the Central government is making all efforts to provide tap water connections to every family by the end of 2022.He would ensure that the project is taken up on priority basis and meet the target within the year if elected.
He then appealed to the people of the constituency to contribute their mite in making the election peaceful, free and fair.
The intending candidates of the constituency, who are in race of BJP ticket, have already agreed to support the BJP candidate who gets the ticket, he said while calling for public support to the party's candidate.
He also said that the state is moving towards development under the BJP-led government.
