NSIC food processing training programme commences

National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) has launched Integrated Entrepreneurship Development training program which is a 180-hour food processing program in an event held at Manipur Khadi & Village Industries Board (MKVIB), Lamphelpat today.
The event was attended by Y Nilamani, vice chairman MKVIB; P Loken, Chairman MIDC and Sinam Yoirentomba, Deputy Director, MSME as well as faculty members K Rasheshwori and Satayakam Laishangbam.
Speaking on the occasion, L Ibetombi Devi, manager NSIC, stated that the Government cannot provide jobs for all the well-educated youths in the State.
People ought to use the skills and knowledge they have amassed through their education and use them as a means to generate income, she added.
As such, the training program had been launched with the goal of producing successful entrepreneurs.
She also informed that the food processing training program launched today is the fifth out of ten that will be launched under National Small Industries Corporation across the State.
Currently food designing and food processing programs are underway in Churachandpur, Dewlahland and Khurai, she asserted.
L Ibetombi urged the trainees participating in the program to take full advantage of the program and produce innovative ideas that will lead to successful careers.
