KCK's annual bonfire wraps up New Year celebration

The annual "Bonfire/Campfire" service of Kuki Christian Khangthahte (KCK), the youth department of Kangpokpi Christian Church, was held with exhortation of Christian youth in Kangpokpi and the state to join forces in shaping a better society with dawning of the New Year.
The KCK's Campfire' also marked the end of the New Year celebration and symbolized the burning of all the past mistakes, wrongdoings, adversities, etc., of the previous years.
The campfire was participated by youth delegates from various Churches in the town where various recreational activities and games were also organised as part of the event.
A Gospel service was held in the evening wherein the past leaders of KCK from 1986 were honoured by the present leaders while a condolence service was held to pay tributes to the past leaders who are no more.
KCK president Paogouhao Chongloi urged the youth to forgive and forget the past mistakes and move forward with an innovative approach to glorify the name of Jesus Christ throughout the year.
He also exhorted the youth to prepare for another wave of pandemic and be ready to help the government, medical department, and frontline workers to save the people from the dreaded virus.
Former KCK secretary Nengtinvah encouraged the youth to mould the younger generation so that they could become responsible individuals of the society and the Church.
Ngulneithang Khongsai, also former Secretary, appreciated the present leaders of KCK for remembering the past leaders while Khailen Khongsai, former president, handed out appreciation gifts to the present KCK executives.
Haolet Khongsai, also former KCK president, recalled important roles played by the youth department in the past for the Church as well as the society.
