TDC extends monetary aid; MLAs meet injured

Transporter and Drivers' Council (TDC) provided financial assistance of Rs 10,000 each to all those injured in the road accident that occurred near Longsai village in Noney district on Wednesday.
A team of TDC led by its president H Ranjit visited Raj Medicity and other hospitals where students and teachers of Thambalnu Higher Secondary School, Yairipok, who sustained injuries in the fatal road accident are admitted and provided 10,000 each to all the injured.
After providing the financial assistance, H Ranjit told media persons that TDC sent its ambulance and volunteers to the accident site just after receiving news of the mishap.
He said that TDC team met families of 23 injured people at Raj Medicity, 14 at RIMS and one at Kripa Dasni Advanced Hospital and handed over financial assistance of Rs 10,000 each.
He also announced that TDC will provide Rs 20,000 each to the families of all those killed in the accident.
Khangabok MLA O Sur-jakumar and Andro MLA Th Shyamkumar visited Raj Medicity and assessed condition of injured students and teachers of the School.
After meeting the injured students and teachers, MLA Surjakumar strongly called for a thorough investigation on how the accident occurred.
He also expressed hope that the government will help the accident victims, both injured and deceased, in a big way.
MLA Shyamkumar also visited Raj Medicity, North AOC and enquired about conditions of all those injured in the unfortunate road accident.
