Imphal, December 21 2022:
The High Court of Manipur has set aside the order issued by Governments of India and Manipur which accepted the resignation of Dinganglung (Dipu) Gangmei, the then Deputy Commissioner of Kakching.
The ruling of the Court came after Alan Kamei (38), a resident of Kambiron Village, Noney challenged the order of the Governments issued on January 11, 2022 by naming five respondents including Nungba AC MLA Dipu Gangmei.
The Court observed the order was set aside as it was issued without considering the vigilance integrity certificate, thereby reviving a particular vigilance case (Case no 14/PE/SP/V&AC/2021) registered against the MLA.
The High Court also directed that authority concerned to investigate the particular case and file a report to initiate further action.
