Crash course on JEE concludes

The three-day awareness programme cum crash course on Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) that was conducted to attract Manipuri students get into institute of national repute like the Indian Institute of Information Technology (HIT), Manipur located at Mantripukhri, concluded on Wednesday.
The valedictory function was attended by Manipur Information Technology director Nahabam Deben and HIT director Prof Krishnan Baskar as presidium members.
Speaking at the function, N Deben mentioned about the mentorship programme by the students of HIT Manipur to engineer aspirant local students so that they can crack the exam and join the premier institutes specially HIT Manipur.
He also highlighted about the role of DIT for the start-up programmes in the state and emphasised on the involvement of students of HIT Manipur while assuring to extend assistance to HIT Manipur as a stakeholder.
Prof Krishnan Baskar stated that the aspiring students need to have self-confidence and think positively in order to crack the Joint Entrance Exam.
HIT Manipur is committed to attract large number of local students to the institute, he added.
Krishan Baskar informed about various funding and scholarship opportunities from the central government for the disadvantaged section of the society in addition to the collateral free education loans from banks (up to Rs 30 lakh for 4 years).
Prizes to the toppers of the mock test conducted were also distributed, apart from presenting certificates to the participants.
