Imphal, January 08 2023:
The proscribed People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak-Progressive (PREPAK-Pro) has clarified that the outfit and its armed wing Red Army are unrelated with the two individuals who took part in the 'Homecoming Ceremony' organised by the government on Saturday as PREPAK-Pro cadres.
The two individuals namely Hemam Ibungomacha and Takhellambam Johnson are neither in the list of the outfit and in its armed wing Red Army nor were they used in any circumstances.
According to a PREPAK-Pro statement, the 'Homecoming Ceremony' organised by the government on Saturday was rather a 'Homecoming Drama' as Ibungomacha and Johnson are unknown to the outfit and their names do not figure in ranks and files of PREPAK-Pro.
The two individuals had nowhere to return but to their respective homes as they are not even members of the outfit and they could have been forced to wear uniform and take part in the drama in front of the media for a short duration.
The PREPAK-Pro statement issued by its media coordinator Lanchenba further said that Manipur has achieved significant success in the field of art and culture but the 'Homecoming Drama' organised by Manipur government from time to time to get 'pass mark' from the Centre continues to flop.
The same on Saturday was no exception and it was organised to appease the Centre ahead of the so called 'Neo-colonial Recycling Day 26 January' organised every year to prolong India's 'neo-colonialism' in Manipur and the region.
It also said that the namesake government in Manipur had organised numerous 'Homecoming Ceremonies' in the past but the benefit of such events is questionable.
In fact, the namesake government is organising 'Surrender Drama' to provide 'Fake Employment' in the name of insurgents as they are unable to chalk out economic policies to provide real jobs to people, the outfit said and appealed to people not to have faith in the government, which fails to shoulder responsibility of the people.
