State logs 12 new cases

Imphal, August 31 2022:
Number of Covid-19 active cases in the state rose to 67 on Wednesday as government bulletins reported 12 new positive cases from four districts out of 439 samples tested in the last 24 hours and recorded positivity rate of 2.7 per cent.
The 12 fresh cases (7 males & 5 females) are residents of Imphal West (5), Imphal East (2), Bishnupur (2) and Chandel (3) districts.
Wednesday also reported four recoveries from home isolation (2), JNIMS (1) and Chandel district hospital (1).Number of active cases rose to 67, out of which 38 are in home isolation.
No death case was reported on Wednesday and the death toll stands at 2147 lives including seven CAPF personnel.
So far, the virus had infected 1,39,709 individuals including 5,020 CAPF personnel.
There are 36 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 59 in RIMS.
In the last 24 hours, 411 D-type and 103 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities and 2764 vaccine doses administered on Wednesday which took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,30,426, out of which 13,04,575 had received the second dose and 2,44,362 had taken precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49782), Imphal East (32019), Thoubal (10288), Churachandpur (11267), Kangpokpi (3183), Tamenglong (3496), Bishnupur (9970), Senapati (2545), Ukhrul (3363), Kakching (6972), Chandel (2792), Noney (1173), Tengnoupal (1210), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1053) and Pherzawl (476) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (711), Imphal East (517), Thoubal (192), Churachandpur (169), Kangpokpi (70), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (206), Senapati (13), Ukhrul (52), Kakching (124), Chandel (43), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (16), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
