Imphal, August 31 2022:
As part of its efforts to trace the history of Manipur and its people, an advisory team of International Peace and Social Advancement (IPSA) organised a 'Kanglei Puwari Khongul Liba' programme at the guest house in Lakhimpur Konjeng Leikai, Cachar district of Assam on Tuesday.
The programme was attended by Athouba Ningsing Lup president RK Sanahal, Pukei Lup ex-president Yumnam Mani, IPSA advisor Chingkhei Luwang, working president Maibam Bisheshwor and Pukei Lup president Yumnam Nadiachand as presidium members.
During the programme, the speakers wished for interacting with Manipuri people settling in Lakhimpur Fulton, Awapalli, Lalang and Singerbond areas, adding that Cachar and Manipur have an inseparable bond, which stood the test of time including the British colonisation era.
They then urged the government to look into the matter.
