State logs four more fresh cases

Imphal, October 17 2022:
Number of Covid-19 active cases in the state further rose to 18 as government bulletins reported four new positive cases out of 159 samples tested and registered 2.5 per cent positivity rate on Monday.
Two recoveries were also reported on Monday.
The four fresh cases are residents of Imphal West, (2), Bishnupur (1) and Kamjong (1) districts.
Out of the 18 active cases, 11 are in home isolation.
No death case was reported in the last 24 hours and the toll remains at 2149 including seven CAPF personnel.
So far, the virus has infected 1,39,846 individuals including 5,022 CAPF personnel.
In the last 24 hours, 293 vaccine doses were administered and it took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,45,910, out of which 13,30,291 had received the second dose and 2,71,003 precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49829), Imphal East (32044), Thoubal (10295), Churachandpur (11288), Kangpokpi (3186), Tamenglong (3497), Bishnupur (9981), Senapati (2547), Ukhrul (3368), Kakching (6979), Chandel (2796), Noney (1173), Tengnoupal (1213), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1055), and Pherzawl (477) .
