Manipur sees 42 pc growth in GST revenue

The gross GST revenue collected in the month of November 2022 was Rs 1,45,867 crore of which CGST constituted Rs 25,681 crore, SGST Rs 32,651 crore, IGST Rs 77,103 crore (including Rs 38,635 crore collected on import of goods) and Cess was Rs 10,433 crore (including Rs 817 crore collected on import of goods).
Manipur also recorded 42 per cent increase in November this year as compared with November last year.
The state collected Rs 35 crore in November 2021 and Rs 50 crore in November 2022.Among the northeast states, 1 per cent growth was recorded in Sikkim, 55 per cent in Arunachal Pradesh, ll per cent in Nagaland, 3 per cent in Mizoram, 3 per cent in Tripura, 6 per cent in Meghalaya, and 9 per cent in Assam.
In November, Rs 209 crore was collected in Sikkim, Rs 62 crore in Arunachal Pradesh, Rs 34 crore in Nagaland, Rs 24 crore in.
Mizoram, Rs 60 crore in Tripura, Rs 162 crore in Meghalaya and Rs 1080 crore in Assam.
The Central government has settled Rs 33,997 crore to CGST and Rs 28,538 crore to SGST from IGST as regular settlement.
The total revenue of Centre and the states after regular settlements in the month of November 2022 is Rs 59678 crore for CGST and Rs 61189 crore for the SGST.
In addition, Centre had also released Rs 17,000 crore as GST compensation to states/UTs in November 2022.The revenues for the month of November 2022 are 11 per cent higher than the GST revenues in the same month last year, which was Rs.1,31,526 crore.
During the month, revenues from import of goods were 20 per cent higher and revenues from domestic transaction (including import of services) 8 per cent higher than the revenues from these sources during the same month last year.
