2nd IRB celebrates 25th Raising Day

2nd Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB) Commandant, T Lalboi has called for respect and coordination among the IRB personnel of the State to retain the trust of the people.
He made the above statement while speaking as the chief guest at the 25th Raising Day celebration of 2nd IRB held today at the campus of 2nd IRB Battalion, Naranseina in Bishnupur district.
He went on to highlight the importance of maintaining respect and trust among the IRB personnel and State Police forces.
Being in the police force, one needs to carry out their duties in a disciplined manner and work with a sacrificial spirit in the interest of the public, he added.
Lalboi also maintained that one should try to ensure that their duties and responsibilities remain unaffected by the personal problems.
Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commandant P Kirankumar has expressed that the IRB personnel have been serving the people sincerely and with dedication ever since the establishment of 1st and 2nd IRB Battalion in the State.
Enumerating the duties carried out by these personnel, he said that they have been playing a major part in maintaining law and order in the State, safe conduct, of Governmental programmes, contributing in election duties and so on.
In recognition of their various services, many IRB personnel have won accolades such as the President Medal, Chief Minister Medal etc, he said.
Many top officials of 2nd IRB Battalion were also present at the event.
As a part of the raising day celebration, T Lalboi and 2nd IRB officers donated edible items and extended aid to old age homes and children homes.
