2nd IRB celebrates 25th Raising Day

Imphal, December 01 2022:
The 2nd India Reserve Battalion (IRB) celebrated its 25th Raising Day at the Battalion's headquarters at Naransena in Bishnupur district on Thursday.
The celebration commenced with hoisting of the Indian flag, followed by distribution of edibles and other items to children and old age homes located around the Battalion.
During the celebration, Battalion commandant T Lalboy Haokip highlighted the role played by the Battalion in maintaining peace and order, along with its various achievements.
He also encouraged the personnel to serve the people wholeheartedly.
In his speech, deputy commandant P Kirankumar said that the respect people gave when the Battalion was formed is still the same.
The personnel under 1 IRB and 2 IRB are assisting the government in all aspects, he added.
Later, commandant T Lalboy presented awards to 8 personnel who performed their duty well, followed by a scrumptious feast attended by top officers and personnel.
Several entertainment programmes were also organised afterwards.
