CM chairs meet on tourism, other projects

Imphal, March 16 2023:
CM N Biren Singh chaired a meeting of the High Level Management Committee (HLMC) constituted to look into development projects being taken up by the government.
The meeting held at CM's secretariat reviewed the status of projects taken up for tourism including Sangai Ethnic Park, Marjing Polo complex, INA complex, Olympian Park at Sangaithel and also deliberated on the areas where additional developments could be initiated.
The meeting also discussed revenue generation and decided to collect entry fee from visitors at these complex -es.
Along with deciding that district committees formed with respective DCs as the chairpersons shall look after and maintain cleanliness of the complexes, it also reviewed other projects taken up by the government as well as launch of new developmental projects.
Mention may be made here that HLMC was constituted in February this year and chief minister N Biren is chairman of the committee while tourism, YAS and art & culture ministers, MLAs of Moirang and Lamsang, chief secretary, DGP, managing director of Manipur Police Housing Corporation, administrative secretaries of tourism, YAS, art & culture and works, tourism director and administrative secretary of planning department were appointed as the member secretaries.
At the end of the meeting, the chief minister along with member secretaries were informed about employment and business opportu nities through improvement of infrastructures and road communication with slide presentation from the department of information & technology.
In another agenda, the chief minister discussed about Loktak downstream project and generation of sufficient power for the state.
