Imphal, March 16 2023:
Volunteers of Manipur Youth and Students' Union (MYSU) on Thursday confiscated large number of cheat notes on the first day of the HSLC examination conducted by BSEM, which had English subject, from various examination centres.
Addressing a press meet in this regard at MYSU office, Khanglabung, here, on Thursday, assistant publicity secretary Yumkhaibam Mukhtar said the Union constituted three teams to inspect some of the examination centres on Thursday.
The centres included Lilong Higher Secondary School, Islamic English School, Khangabok Higher Secondary School, Saingaiyumpham High School and Wangjing High School.
During the inspection, the team found students copying from notes at the Sangai-yumpham and Wangjing exam centres, in addition to finding micro notes in the toilet.
Khangabok Higher Secondary School also did not fare well and it is suspected that there are helpers/accomplices arranged cheat notes for the students appearing for the exam at the centre.
The MYSU team also found a plastic bag in the toilet containing answer notes, some of which were taken back by the teachers and set on fire at the spot, while some were taken away by the flying squads of MYSU.
Thus, he urged BSEM to look into these unethical acts and prevent them from happening again.
