Imphal, February 06 2022:
The Cabinet decision allegedly adopted by the BJP-led Government to do away with permanent recruitment and make all recruitments on contract basis while only half the salaries would be given is anti-youth, remarked MPCC spokesman N Bhupendra.
Speaking to media persons at Congress Bhavan here today, Bhupendra said that the BJP-led Government adopted a Cabinet decision to recruit all Groups A, B, C, and D posts on contract basis without leaving any room for permanent appointment while salaries would be reduced to half of the entitled amount.

The particular Cabinet decision is anti-youth and it also challenges the principle of good governance, Bhupendra said.
He said that the particular Cabinet decision would be annulled once Congress party comes back to power and permanent recruitment would be revived.
As no MCS, MPS and other civil service exams were conducted during the five years of BJP-led Government, no new MCS or MPS officers can be seen today, he said.
The MPCC spokesman said that necessary procedure would be initiated to hold civil services exams through MPSC as soon as a Congress-led Government is sworn in in the State.
Just as UPSC has been holding civil services exams very year, maximum efforts would be invested to ensure that permanent recruitments are made through MPSC, he continued.
In addition to the MPSC, a Staff Selection Commission would be established for recruitment of non-gazetted officers/employees, he said.
Saying that the BJP-led Government has no policy to promote MCS and MPS officers to DCs and SPs respectively, Bhupendra maintained that necessary process would be initiated to promote MCS and MPS officers to the post of DCs and SPs once a Congress Government is installed.
