As part of the National Sanitation Campaign, Mission Swachh Bharat organised a social service camp at K Orphanage UJB school under Sadar Hills Autonomous District council, Kangpokpi today.
Thangneikhai Vaiphei, Inspector of Schools, SHADC Kangpokpi graced the occasion as the chief guest while several assistant inspectors of schools under SHADC Kangpokpi including Circle AI Ratankumar and various school headmasters/headmistress under SHADC Kangpokpi also attended the occasion apart from the students.
Participated by the National Sanitation Campaign officials, teachers and students, tree plantation drive was also conducted.
Speaking at the occasion Thangneikhai Vaiphei lamented that global warming is the current blazing issue and scientists have been making efforts in finding a solution.
He added that the saplings which have been planted today, if given due care, would contribute towards preventing global warming.
He continued that water supply facilities would be provided to the school and free medical camp would also be conducted.
While lauding the District Council Administration, Sadar Hills authority K Nanda Singh, headmaster of the school announced that Block Level Literacy Competition under the theme "Unity in Diversity" would be conducted at the school on October 7 .
Students of the school were given Mid Day Meal after the social work.
The officials of the National Sanitation campaign educated the K Orphanage UJB school students on the importance of National Sanitation Campaign.
Sanitation Campaign under Mission Swachh Bharat HM Hr Sec School, Keithelmanbi also observed the campaign by conducting social work.
Founder Secretary of the School Seikholet Singsit, who is also a retired Deputy Inspector of Schools/DDO Saitu Gamphazol asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's words "Clean India" has a significant meaning before adding that Clean India refers to not only physical and environment cleanliness but also judicially and financially.
