Imphal, October 01 2014:
The National (BJP) office is the final authority to take any kind of disciplinary action against any member and according to the National office, no one has been expelled from the membership of the party in Manipur, said former BJP State unit president Dr H Borobabu.
As per provisions of the party constitution and tradition of the party, giving a show cause notice to a member of the party is never published in media/public till final decision of expulsion is taken by the competent National authority.
Surprisingly, official order copies of expulsion from primary membership are neither received by the members concerned nor by the national office, but is published in the media first, said a press release issued by the former party president.
It is questionable why so many members in such a short time are expelled, suspended or threatened to be suspended, that also through media without giving any formal orders which never happen at the any level and at any time in the history of BJP.
Expelling senior BJP leaders who are arch rivals of Congress would not only weaken the party but also facilitate smooth sailing of Congress, Borobabu said.
Winning a lone seat of Hiyanglam A/C is crucial and important from BJP's point of view to establish a firm base in Manipur.
But the recent frequent use of media in disclosing internal party disputes in public not only damages the image of the party but also unnecessarily exposes the weakness of the party organization, he added.
Meanwhile, a book in English titled Kalki Avatar and Narendra Modi, written by Laishram Jatra Singh was released today at North Block, Central Secretariat, New Delhi by Union Minister of State, PMO Dr Jitendra Singh.
Former BJP Manipur unit president Dr H Borobabu was also present at the book release function.
