Union Planning Commission has reportedly assured Chief Secretary of the State that a sum of Rs 61 crores would be released for various projects being taken up under Special Plan Assistance (SPA) of the current fiscal year.
According to information received by The Sangai Express, the assurance was given to the Chief Secretary after a joint meeting with the officials of the Union Planning Commission at New Delhi today.
The Chief Secretary is currently at the National capital accompanying the Chief Minister in his meeting with the Union Home Minister.
The fund to be released by the Planning Commission include projects related to Health, Flood Control and Kangla Fort Board.
Process is also underway for releasing the fund of Loktak Development and Management, the source disclosed.
