Imphal, January 19 2010:
With referees declining to conduct matches following recent cases of assault by both players and team supporters, AMFA has announced postponement of further matches of the 4th Manipur State League football tournament as well as the 24th Senior Men Inter District Football Tournament.
Moreover, an AMFA release has proclaimed imposition of Rs 10,000 penalty against N Rakesh of USA, Khurai for punching a match official who was conducting second leg match of the 4th MSL between USA and NISA, Thangmeiband on January 18 .
Apart from the monetary penalty which AMFA insist shuld be paid with January 21 (2010), Rakesh will also remain under suspension for a period of five years.
