Imphal, April 18 2015 :
The long standing impasse between Khongman Lisham Leirak and UNACCO School came to a peaceful end today with the intervention of the Manipur Students' Federation (MSF).
As such, the School which had remained closed following the misunderstanding will be reopened tomorrow.
This was stated by MSF advisor Th Udoy at a press meet held at the federation's office at Keishamthong Top Leirak today.
The impasse, Udoy stated, was peacefully resolved at a joint meeting organised by the federation.
MSF had, he added, approached both the parties before conducting the joint meeting to make sure that they were ready to settle the matter.
"The misunderstandings are cleared now, the students of UNACCO School can attend normal classes from tomorrow," Udoy stated.
On being questioned about the terms and conditions of the agreement, Udoy said, "its a constructive agreement.
Both the parties had agreed to back off their stances" .
The negotiation, he added, was held without any precondition and that MSF merely acted as a facilitator.
The press meet was also attended by representatives of Khongman Leirak and UNACCO School governing body chairman Ningombam Irabanta along with UNACCO School staff.
