Strongly refuting the charge that the outfit's Pallel town commander and finance dept worker, armed with AK rifles, were involved in making sneering remarks against Aimol Satu women at Aimol Satu playground on Apr 16 around 8 pm, the underground United Kuki Liberation Front (UKLF) clarified that the outfit never issued the two cadres a Bolero vehicle nor AK rifles.
A statement issued by MP Haokip, information and publicity secretary of UKLF said that the allegation was totally false, fabricated and misleading as none of its cadres move around in Bolero vehicle that particular evening in Aimol area as alleged.
'We never issued/authorised either the town commander or the finance dept worker a Bolero vehicle or AK rifles, though SoO registered weapons were issued in exceptional cases for personal security,' it said.
Urging the Aimol civil societies not to implicate the organisation in the internal matters of the tribe, the statement further urged the Aimols to resolve the issues within themselves amicably for the sake of peaceful coexistence.
At the same time, it also reminded all concerned that the UKLF, with its primary objective of re-unification, always considered Aimol as a unique tribe and has genuine concern for the welfare of its people.
