Discussion on pensioners held

A discussion programme was held on Saturday at Kuki Inn, Imphal on the plight of the pensioners in the state.
It was organised by Bharat Pensioners Samaj Manipur which is affiliated to Bharat Pensioners Samaj, New Delhi.
General Secretary Bharat Pensioners Samaj, N.C.Maheshwari and President of Bharat Pensioners Samaj Manipur, Th Yaiskul were the chief guest and president of the programme.
Retd Secretary Govt of Nagaland, Rukhielhoulie Angami; President of Nagaland Pensioner Association Kohima, Ng Tomcha and Retd SP Nagaland Kohima, S Brajamani Sharma were among the guest of honours of the programme.
N.C.Maheshwari as the chief guest inaugurated the programme by hoisting the flag and performing the lighting ceremony.
Speaking at the occasion Maheshwari stated that appeal has been made to reduce the gap between maximum and minimum amount pension holders, also claimed that the Samaj has sent a proposal to include pensioners in the 7th pay Commission.
Further added that appeals have been made for increment of pension Slab wise and years of pensioners and establishment of new health care scheme of pensioners above 50 years.
