Green Thangmeiband mission launch soon: MLA Joykisan

Thangmeiband MLA Kh Joykisan has stated that just as the ongoing Assembly session proposed for launching a 'Green Manipur' mission in the state to save the environment, Thangmeiband AC would be launching the 'Green Thangmeiband Kendra Mission' soon.
He made the announcement during the 10th annual meritorious award distribution function organised by Thangmeiband Kendra Development Organisation (TAKDO) for Class X and XII students at Dharamsala, Thangal Bazar here on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Joykisan, who is also the chief patron of TAKDO, remarked that the forest area in Manipur has shrunk significantly compared to the past, owing to continuous felling of trees.

In this regard, a proposal was made in the ongoing Assembly session for launching a 'Green Manipur' mission to save the natural environment of the state.
For Thangmeiband constituency, however, a 'Green Thangmeiband Kendra Mission' will be launched soon, he informed.
Regarding the award distribution function, the MLA informed that it was held keeping in mind the admission process outside the state for students who have passed the Class X and XII examinations conducted by BSEM and CoHSEM and the delay in declaration of CBSE results.
He then exhorted the students to work hard to become capable citizens of the country, while informing that TAKDO had also invested around Rs 20 lakh for promoting the academic atmosphere in Thangmeiband.
Students in need can contact the nearest TAKDO representative to avail the assistance, he added.
The function was also attended by TAKDO president Kh Nobokumar as president and other TAKDO advisors.
