Imphal, February 27 2023:
Kangleipak Students Association (KSA) is gearing up to carry out an inspection drive of schools and boarding facilities across the State.
In a statement, KSA shared that an incident occurred at a boarding facility in Imphal whereby the boarding operators/teachers reportedly lured students with the promise of giving them "probable questions" that would be asked in the examination but failed to deliver.
The aggrieved students allegedly fled from the boarding yesterday, thereby causing a scene.
The statement shared that KSA was able to trace the missing students and found around 40 of them at an unnamed location.
Following this, KSA held a joint meeting with the parents and boarding authority today and the students were handed over to the boarding operators.
KSA has stated that students appearing for the Class XII examinations must study properly and try to answer all the questions asked during the examination instead of hunting for probable questions.
It also added that boarding operators must stop looking for the question setters of these examinations in their attempt to get probable questions to give to the students.
KSA advised against running boarding facilities simply to add to the pass percentage without any attention to the compromise on quality education that continues to happen.
It also advised boarding operators against instilling the belief in students that they can obtain probable questions and thereby eliminating their need to study wholeheartedly.
In view of these circumstances, KSA shared that it will launch an inspection drive of schools and boarding facilities across the State.
