Pension Adalat conducted in five districts

Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Special State Office conducted "Nidhi Aapke Nikat & Pension Adalat", the monthly outreach programme of EPFO India in 5 districts of Manipur simultaneously with other districts across the country.
The programme in Mani pur was held in Imphal West, Kamjong, Kakching, Noney and Tengnoupal districts as shortlisted by Regional PF Commissioner-I, Guwahati K Rupeshor Singh.
Attending the Tengnoupal event held at K Koshang Memorial Hall, Khangshim village, zonal education officer Shokholun Baite stated that he had issued official circular to all the educational institutions' to attend the meeting so as to avail the benefits.
In Kakching district, the programme was attended by district's zonal education officer Yengkhom Achouba Singh, inspectors of schools Laishram Sarat Singh, school owners and employees.
In his short speech, Yengkhom Achouba reminded school owners and employers about an order issued by the Director of Education (S) and the mandatory provisions of the EPF & MP Act, 1952 while also appealing to head of educational institutions under Kakching district to get their respective employees registered under the Act to avail the social security benefits on priority basis.
Many grievances related to the employees and pensioners were registered at the programme sites under the EPFO grievance portal EPFIGMS by the officials present.
During the awareness programme and subsequent interactive sessions, employees and employers were able to clear their doubts.
In all 150 employees, pensioners and employers attended the programme in the five districts out of which 34 attendees in Imphal West filed grievance case with EPFIGMS portal while nine participants in Kamjong district, 54 in Kakching, 10 in Noney and 37 participants in Tengnoupal district also aired relevant grievances.
The participants expressed their happiness and gratitude as they could avail the valuable information and guidance from the resource persons during the programme.
They also expressed hope that the grievances registered would be redressed by the authority concerned without further delay.
