Skill mela organised in Chandel

Chandel, February 27 2023: District Skill Committee, Chandel organised a one day skill mela at the multipurpose hall, mini secretariat, DC complex, Chandel on Monday.

The inaugural function of the mela was attended by Chandel DC Mayanglambam Rajkumar, additional DC Md Firoj Khan and NIELIT assistant director Laishram Shyamkumar as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Rajkumar informed that every section of the society, not only the government and private skill developers and entrepreneurs, should join hands for promotion of skill developments to create more employment opportunities for the youth.

He urged the district skill committee to continue finding out the opportunities available and create awareness among youth of the district.

As part of the programme, a six-day IT training programme for school teachers was also launched by the deputy commissioner.

Altogether, 17 government and private skill providers and companies including ITI, Chandel; JSS, Chandel; CIPET; NIELIT; SYNTAX; JCRE Skill solutions; Eastern Motors; Go Aviation; Green Cane; Meira foods; JA-CEEX, etc., took part in the mela.

Around 200 students, youth and stakeholders of the district attended the mela.

The programme was also attended by district level officers, staff and other officials of the district among others.
