Awareness programme, Cleanliness drive conducted

To help the local youth from remote areas fulfil their ambitions of joining the defence forces and in view of the upcoming Agniveer rally for aspirant youth, Churachandpur Battalion of IGAR (South) organised an awareness programme for local youth of Heng-kot and neighbouring villages on Monday.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that basic aim of the event was to guide on career prospects, registration, documentation and recruitment procedure to join Indian Army through Agniveer scheme 2023.The Battalion assured the local youth of all possible assistance including free registration, theoretical classes, training of computer skills, physical training and communication skills.
Pamplets were also distributed to them.
On the other-hand, Mantripukhri Battalion of IGAR (South) organised cleanliness drive under Swatch Bharat Abhiyan with locals of Lamlongei village and Catholic colony near Mantripukhri garrison in Imphal West district on Monday.
According to PRO IGAR (S), local youth and public of the surrounding areas were also educated about importance of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to the nation.
