Former Chief Minister and CLP leader Okram Ibobi has asserted that the section of people who have no source of income will not be able to thrive under the regime of BJP.
Addressing a one day political conference of INC candidate Th Lokeshore at Sagolmang today, the former Chief Minister continued that skyrocketing prices of essential commodities under the BJP regime is hitting the common man hard.
Saying that the BJP is trying to deceive the people by giving some gas cylinders free of cost while the charge of refilling has increased manifold, O Ibobi continued that there was a public uproar in the past for increasing the price of cooking gas from Rs 400 to Rs 600 .
"But now the cooking gas is being sold at around Rs 1200," Ibobi continued and asked how the poor and people with no source of income will survive under such circumstances.
Continuing that the alliance of the Congress and five Left parties will surely form the next Government and address the grievances of the people, the former Chief Minister maintained that Khundrakpam AC is a sure shot for the Congress.
"No people, be it Chief Minister N Biren nor his brother can unseat Lokeshore from Khundrakpam AC," he dared and added that Lokeshore will surely be inducted in the Council of Ministers if Congress returns to power.
