Macau Cadet Asian Cup Judo : Oliviya, Dipapati clinch gold; Linthoi, Nungshithoi settle for silver

Young Judokas from Manipur are continuously bringing home good news amid the ongoing ethnic crisis in the State.
After a successful campaign at the recently concluded Hong Kong Cadet Asian Cup Judo Championship, Huidrom Oliviya and Dipapati Ngangbam added gold medals to India's tally today at the Macau Cadet Asian Cup.

Competing in the -44 kg category, Oliviya yet again defeated Mongolian counterpart Sandagdorj Ochirtuya in the final to earn the top honour.
Dipapati Ngangbam who settled for a bronze medal in the -70 kg category competition in the previous Hong Kong event, improved her performance to claim a gold medal by defeating Hayes Talah of Australia in the final bout.
Former world cadet champion Linthoi Chanambam however faltered yet again in her new weight category competition (-63 kg) to settle for a silver medal.
Linthoi, who went down to Kang Jueun of South Korea in the Hong Kong, suffered final defeat at the hands of Mongolia's Khurelchuluun Maralmaa today.
Another Manipuri, Leishangthem Nungshithoi also won a silver medal in the -52 kg category competition as she went down to Terbish Ariunzaya of Mongolia in the final today.
