Shiv Sena Manipur president M Tombi has strongly condemned naked parading of two women but expressed strong suspicion of a hidden agenda behind releasing video hours before commencement of the Parliament session.
Addressing media persons at Shiv Sena Manipur office at Babupara Friday, M Tombi said the barbaric incident happened on May 4 was shocking and the party strongly condemns the incident.
Manipuri society is known for honouring dignity of women and puts women at the highest level but the incident tarnished good image of the society, he said and expressed sus-picldh'of a hidden agenda behind releasing the video just few days before the Parliament session.
According to N Tombi, the ongoing violence started during the tribal solidarity rally held in Chura-chandpur on May 3 and it was not the Meetei /Meitei community who started it.
Chin-Kuki people fled from Myanmar and unable to settle in their own country instigated the violence and distorted peace and tranquillity in Manipur and this is well known by both state and Central governments, he said and asked if SoO ground rules allows construction of bunkers and firing towards innocent civilians.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Manipur unit also strongly condemned the May 4 incident and demanded stringiest punishment to all those found guilty.
