National Games : Rowers add two silver medals, Khaba-Umelly win taekwondo bronze ; Sepaktakraw : Men and women's teams sail into regu semis

Imphal, November 01 2023: Manipur added three silver medals on 7th day of the 37th National Games being underway in Goa to take the tally to 28 medals.

Thangjam Priya and Haobijam Tendenthoi sealed a silver medal in the women's double scull competition (rowing) taking 6:54.60 (six minutes 54.60 seconds) in the final race.

Priya, Tendenthoi along with Mayengbam Merina and Thoudam Aruna also cruised to a silver medal with a 6 minutes and 41.30 seconds finish in the women's quadruple scull competition.

Meanwhile, Umelly Mangsatabam who won a silver medal yesterday in the women's poomsae individual clinched another by pairing up with Nongdaren Khaba in the mixed pair poomsae competition.

The day also witnessed both men and women's sepak takraw teams cruise into regu semi-finals.

The men's team finished Group B winners to set up a semi-final date with Group A runners Assam.

Meanwhile, the women's team finished Group A winners and will play Assam women's team who also finished runners up in Group B competition.
