RIMS recognises achievers of special campaign 3.0

Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal celebrated the accomplishments of its Special Campaign 3.0 Achievers in an award ceremony held on Wednesday.
The Special Campaign 3.0, which ran from October 2 to 31, marked a significant initiative by RIMS.
Attending the ceremony as chief guest, RIMS director professor G Sunil Kumar Sharma shared a noteworthy announcement regarding the ban on plastic bottles and plastic carry bags within the RIMS campus.
While pointing out that plastic bottles are major contributor to drain blockages and environmental pollution, he said that prohibition on these items within the campus is a strategic move to reduce pollution and mitigate drainage issues.
The director also commended the collective efforts that contributed to the success of Special Campaign 3.0, acknowledging the pivotal role played by all involved.
The ceremony also featured distribution of prizes to the Campaign Achievers and winners of the Cleanest Competition held on October 2.Results of the Cleanest Competition were revealed, with PMR Ward and Post Natal Ward wresting the 1st and 2nd position in the Cleanest Hospital Ward category respectively.
The Chest Ward, Paediatric Ward, and Operation Theatre jointly claimed the 3rd prize in the same category.
Post Natal and Female Medicine, Septic and Derma Medicine, and Male Ortho departments, bagged 1st, 2nd, and 3rd position respectively in the Cleanest Sanitary Area category.
Herojit and H Manglemcha received the Best Attendant awards as Ch Ibecha and Lungsuaklung Daimei were recognised as the two best CRED housekeeping staff members.
The departments of Community Medicine, Paediatrics, and Psychiatry were presented with the awards of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd position in the best Special Campaign 3.0 Achievers Departments category.
Special appreciation awards were also given to six wardens, namely Dr L Trinity Meetei, Dr T Hemjit Singh, Dr L Romesh Singh, Dr Sumita Bannerji, Dr Sushila Devi, and Ezung, in recognition of their contributions during the campaign.
The ceremony also celebrated the outstanding performances of the top five staff members from CRED and Manipur Security Service, who received cash awards and certificates for their contributions to the success of Special Campaign 3.0.RIMS medical superintendent N Sanjib attended the ceremony as president, while RIMS nodal officer professor Y Govindaraj was guest of honour.
Other notable attendees included the principals of Dental College and College of Nursing, heads of departments, faculty members, nursing officials, and staff members.
