Rotary Club of Imphal celebrates golden jubilee

Imphal, November 01 2023: Along with organising various community-based service projects, Rotary Club of Imphal (RID-3240) celebrated its golden jubilee at RIMS, here, on Tuesday.

According to a statement released by Rotary Club of Imphal president Dr Sanjib Nepram, the club which was formed on October 31, 1973 with 37 charter members has now increased its membership strength to 111 making it the biggest club in Imphal West.

The statement further informed as part of the golden jubilee celebration, 25 wheelchairs were donated to RIMS along with organising a blood donation camp at Department of Transfusion Medicine, RIMS.

Club members, volunteers of NSS Cell Manipur University and Life Savers Manipur donated around 100 units of blood.

T-shirts, eatables and certificates were also distributed to the blood donors.

As part of the Golden Jubilee celebration, Visiting District Governor Nilesh Kumar Agarwal along with Assistant Governor and members of the club visited Chanura Leikol Children Home at Khurai Chairenthong and provided 1680 eggs under the 'Rotary Egg Bank Project'.

Stationery items and eatables were provided to the inmates.

Later a grand feast was arranged at the home, the statement added.
