Continuing its humanitarian service to the people displaced by the humanitarian crisis in the state, the CCIAN Fprum has extended help to the Meitei people of Moreh who have been forced to flee the border town following attacks by armed Kukis and seek refuge in relief camps opened in different parts of the state.
Speaking during the relief aid distribution function, CCIAN Forum Peace Committee convenor Angomcha Chingkhei lauded the spirit of the brave Meiteis of Moreh who are demanding the state government to arrage measures for them to return to Moreh town and re-settle in the area.
He said that Meitei of Moreh are not like fish in a pot which can be kept anywhere one desires.
The state government should consider the demands of the Moreh Meiteis to be allowed to re-settle in Moreh at the earliest.
He also mentioned the works and activities of Lamyanba Hijam Irabot and appealed to all concerned to follow in his footsteps and bring the much needed peace and tranquillity in the state.
