ABVP team meets camp inmates, students

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) national secretary (organisation) Ashish Chauhan arrived here on Wednesday on a three-day visit to campaign for promoting peace and educational empowerment in the region.
According to a statement issued by ABVP Manipur unit, Ashish Chauhan met with frontline village volunteers and visited a relief camp at Ithing, where he interacted and motivated students besides distributing study materials.
It also informed that ABVP has been organising "Parishad Ki Pathsala" from May 20, under which ABVP members teach displaced students in different relief camps relief camps.
Chauhan is in the state with the objective to help in restoring peace and helping students in areas affected by the turmoil.
He engaged with village volunteers, acknowledging their significant role in restoring peace to Manipur.
At Ithing relief camp, he interacted with students and distributed essential study materials, emphasising the pivotal role of education in shaping youth's future.
He also reiterated ABVP's commitment to promote peace and educational excellence in Manipur, and stand firmly with the people in their pursuit of a harmonious and prosperous society.
Later, an ABVP team led Ashish Chauhan and North East Zonal organising secretary Kamal Nayan organised an interaction programme with student hostellers of UNACCO School Meitram.
UNACCO School chairman Ningombam Irabanta, DGMs O Polendro and Nandeibam Shyamchand, and principal Apurva Sundar Das also attended the interaction programme.
Speaking on the occasion Ashish Chauhan emphasised on the importance of enthusiasm and eagerness to learn new things in a student's life.
He encouraged students to be hard working and pay attention to their studies.
Expressing concern over the present situation in the state, he expressed belief that peace and normalcy will return eventually.
The national secretary also elaborated on the aims and objective of ABVP and its interest in national policy making to ensure a better society.
He also spoke on the contributions of student community in shaping the society and contribution made by ABVP members.
Ashish Chauhan also answered questions from the students.
