State judokas crowned champions of Senior National Judo Championship

Imphal, October 04 2023: Manipur were crowned team champions of the Senior National Judo Championship 2023-24 on Wednesday in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

The state judokas ended their successful campaign with five medals including two gold.

Takhellambam Inungnganbi Devi and Maibam Indubala Devi won gold medals for Manipur in the women's competition.

Takhellambam Inungnganbi bagged her yellow metal in the -70kg category while Maibam Indubala claimed the top podium honour in the -78kg category.

Laishram Jagadish Meitei, on the other hand, settled for a silver medal after finishing second in the -66kg event in the men's category.

Manipur also added two bronze medals to their tally courtesy of Konthoujam Bishal Singh (-73kg) and Thangjam Ningthemba (-81kg) .
