Financial literacy awareness camp held

As part of Samavesh Samaroh, the concluding function of the week long 'Sangkalp Saptaah' programme in Chandel district, a financial literacy awareness camp was held at Chakpikarong on Monday.
During the camp, LDM Chandel Altias spoke on the importance of banking facilities for the socio-economic development of a country and said that Chakpikarong block was fortunate to have banking facilities since the establishment of SBI Chakpikarong branch 45 years ago.
He said that availability of Customer Service Point (CSP) is an added advantage in reaching out to each and every corner of the block.
He then advised people to take full advantage of banking facilities including saving their money and taking loan.
He further advised people to be vigilant against cyber fraud perpetrated by fraudster and not to fall into their trap.
SBI Chakpikarong branch manager Nelson Bungte Aimol spoke on various loan facilities ex tended by banks specially KCC and SME loans.
He also spoke on the various digital products of SBI and more specifically the YONO app where different types of digital products can be transacted.
Centre for Financial Literacy (CFL) centre manager Felix Shongsir also spoke on various social security schemes, PMJJBY, PMSBY and APY available at nominal premium.
