Edibles, medicines distributed to relief centres

Churachandpur deputy commissioner (DC) Dharun Kumar said that the district administration has distributed essential items for inmates of 21 relief centres opened in the district through CSOs manning the centres.
According to Dharun Kumar, a total of 309 bags (50kg) of rice, 66 bags of potatoes, 87 bags of Dal, 87 bags of Nutrela soy chunks, 48 bags of onion, 62 cans of edible oil, 683 packets of sanitary pad, 683 packets of diaper, mosquito repellent and others have been handed over to the CSOs.
He also said that the relief materials were distributed as per the commitment made by Union home minister Amit Shah when he visited the state recently.
He also said that people may contact SDO Sangaikot for any problem.
On the other- hand, a team of Indian Youth Congress distributed relief materials to people taking shelter in various relief camps in Churachandpur district on Monday in connection with the celebration of Rahul Gandhi's birthday.
The Youth Congress team led by secretary in-charge (Manipur) Sarifa Rahman visited the relief camps to hand over the relief items including food for the infants like Cerelax, Nestogen, sanitary pack and medicines.
Sarifa Rahman told media persons that the violence in Manipur is creation of the government.
All the North Eastern states are restless due to fighting among communities ever since BJP came to power, Sarifa Rahman said.
