SUK urges Govt to protect career of students

Stressing the need for cultivating intelligent and knowledgeable youth especially to deal with the narco-ter-rorism war in the state, implementation of NRC and other movements to erotect the integrity of Manipur; Students Union of Kangleipak (SUK) has urged the gov-ernment to take up steps to protect the career of displaced students.
Addressing a press meet at its Wangkhei Boys High School office on Sunday, SUK HRD secretary Gyanagar Nameirakpam urged the government to take up con-crete steps for the displaced students staying in various relief camps.
He further urged hostels and boarding schools to provide free education and boarding to the displaced students particularly those seeking admission to Class XI, while also suggesting lifting the internet ban for the sake of students.
The secretary also suggested reschedul-ing of the proposed reopening of schools on June 21 after ensuring a calm learning atmosphere for the students.
He then informed that SUK is preparing to expand its annual free coaching class for Class X students.
