Protestors on Sunday smaches and burnt radio sets during the broadcast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann ki Baat' programme at Kakching Bazar denouncing his silence on the violence in Manipur since May 3 .
The protestors including people displaced from Se-rou and Sugnu area staying in relief camps in Kakching shouted slogans that they do not want to hear PM's word anymore, demanded with-drawal the So0 agreement and appealed for restoration of peace.
On Sunday, people in dif-ferent parts of the state also broke transistors during the weekly radio programme "Mann Ki Baat' as a mark of protest against his silence on the violence.
The protestors also chant-ed slogans against the Prime Minister and also the Manipur government.
It may be mentioned here that during the radio pro-gramme of PM Modi, he failed to mention even a word on the ongoing violence in Ma-nipur.
Meanwhile, national pres-ident of the Congress party Mallikarjun Kharge also took a jibe at Prime Minister Nar-endra Modi over his 'silence' on Manipur.
"Your (PM Narendra Modi) 'Mann Ki Baat' should have first included 'Manipur Ki Baat', but in vain.
The sit-uation in the border state is precarious and deeply dis-turbing," the Congress pres-ident said.
The Congress chief added: "You (Modi) have not spoken a word.
You have not chaired a single meeting.
You have yet not met an all-party del-egation." Kharge said that the Modi government at the Centre is "asleep while Manipur burns".
Kharge also said: "Looks like your government does not consider Manipur as a part of India.
This is unac-ceptable" .
