421 treated, seven succumbed: JNIMS committee

As many as 421 wounded persons were provided medical treatment while seven succumbed to injuries and 25 babies successfully delivered in JNIMS hospital since May 3 till June 17.In a release, Relief Com-mittee JNIMS convenor Kambam Seityajit informed that till date it spent a sum of Rs 4,49,000 in treatment of the injured, adding that generous people have also been extending monetary assistance to the Committee since May 11.While appealing to the public to help the Commit-tee meet treatment expense of conflict affected people, the convenor informed that in between June H till 17 health minister Dr Sapam Ranjan donated Rs 1,00,000; Yairipok Kekru Leikai Rs 10,000; DM Col-lege of Teacher Education Rs 20,000; sub-inspector (Porompat PS) M Pramesh Meitei Rs 500; Sanasam Sanjoy Singh of Thou-bal Sabaltongba Rs 1000; Global Manipur Federation/ UAE Rs 30,000; L Lakpati of Yumnam Leikai, Singj-amei Mathak Rs 5000; RK Dhiren of Thangmeiband Rs 100; Ningombam Basanta of Wangkhei Angom Leikai Rs 500; and BJP-OBC Morcha, Manipur Pradesh two bags of rice and one bag of dal.
