Aid extended to relief camps, ambulance operators

Imphal, June 18 2023:
Staff members of Primary Health Centre (PHC), Hiyanglam led by its medical officer in-charge Dr Kiran Elangbam provided relief items and monetary aid to relief camps set up at Hiyanglam Girls Junior High School; Wabagai Higher Second-ary School; Lotus Club, Hiyanglam Mayai Leikai community hall; Mayeng Lamjao; Langmeidong Higher Secondary School; and Elangkhanpokpi Mayai Leikai Mandop on Sunday.
Chaningkhombi Self Help Group and YVA Club of RDS Leirak, Wang-jing Municipal Council Ward No.4 along with the locals also distributed edible items at relief camps opened at Tangjeng Mang-jing and Chairel under Sug - nu assembly constituency.
Meanwhile, Shiroy Lily Global Family (SLGF) donated Rs 30,000 to Me-dilane Ambulance Service in honour of evacuating people injured in the ethnic clash or displaced people requiring medical emer-gency.
A team of SLGF met Medilane director Dr Dayananda (Pibarel) on Sunday and handed over the cash assistance, which was donated towards meeting expenditure of the ambulance opera-tion.
A member of the group also appealed to the public to donate whatever they could to ambulance services, who are provid-ing services at free of cost during this time of crisis.
On the other hand, Helping Our People Ev-erywhere (HOPE) Mayang Imphal led by its president Bijendra Laishram donated relief materials to displaced people staying in different relief camps located in Kumbi, Ithai, Santhong, Thanga, Moirang Thana Leikai, Keibul Lamjao, !thing and Moirang Lasoi among others.
