Motivational lecture, quiz competition held

To help students from remote areas fulfil their ambitions, Loktak Battalion of IGAR (South) on Thursday organised a motivational lecture at Government High School, Phoubakchao in Bishnupur district to guide them about various entries in Indian Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces on Thursday.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that the Battalion took the opportunity as an initiative to gather around 45 students and 10 teaching staff for the motivational lecture aimed at imparting knowledge on career prospects and recruitment procedure to join Indian Army through Technical Entry Scheme (TES), Agniveer and Central Armed Police Forces, other government and semi government sectors.
The Battalion also assured the students all possible assistance including free registration, theoretical classes, training of computer skills, physical training and communication skills.
On the other-hand, Modi Battalion of 1GAR (South) organised a quiz competition under "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" at D Zalengbung High School in Chandel district on Thursday.
According to PRO IGAR (S), the event witnessed the attendance of 15 teachers and 170 students.
Five teams of class VI students participated in the competition organised to inculcate patriotism, celebration of Indian independence and Indian history amongst the students.
All the students and school staff participated with full zeal and enthusiasm.
They also requested that Battalion to keep organising such events for the children for their overall development and instil sense of patriotism.
