Imphal, April 27 2023:
The 'Joint Action Committee (JAC) against the murder of Seiminthang Lupho' has demanded authority concerned to nab the culprit(s) involved in the killing of Seiminthang Lupho, son of Sehlal Lupho of Canan Veng, Moreh within 24 hours.
In a release, JAC convener Jamkhokam Mate and secretary David Mimin Vaiphei said that the discovery of body of Seiminthang on Thursday morning has sent shock waves among denizens of Moreh town.
Clear case of murder could be observed with wound marks on several parts of the body such as fractured left hand, injuries on the forehead and chest, blood stain in the ear and spilled blood on the bridge a few metres away from where the body was found, it claimed.
While expressing dread that such homicide happened in the heart of Moreh town where adequate security measure is supposed to be in place, the release wondered as to how such random killing could take place right under the nose of security forces.
Therefore, the JAC urged the authority concerned to arrest the perpetrator(s) within specified deadline, failing which all forms of agitation will be initiated from 6 am on Friday.
Any unwanted outcome that may arise shall be the.
sole responsibility of the authority concerned, the JAC said.
