RIMSAM-2023 gets underway

Imphal, April 27 2023:
The much-awaited festival of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, called RINSAM-2023, was on Thursday kicked off at RIMS Mini ground under the theme "Unleash your inner champion".
RINSAM is a five-day fiesta of RIMS students competing in various competitions, among four houses namely Ashwini/Charaka, Nagarjuna and Sushruta with over 600 participants, said RIMS media advisor N Phillip Singh in a release.
As chief guest of the event, RIMS director Prof H Priyoshakhi Devi said "we should include sports and recreational activities in our day to day life in order to live a healthy lifestyle".
She also stressed just books and education is not enough to live a fruitful life and advised the students to seize opportunities and relax, enjoy and interact with one's peers.
She also highlighted the importance of such fest to rejuvenate the minds of the students as well as the faculty members.
RIMS Hospital medical superintendent Prof N Sanjib Singh, Academics dean Prof Brogen Singh Akoijam, Dental College principal Dr B Praveen Reddy and Nursing College principal Prof H Jamuna Devi attended the event as guests of honour with RIMSSU advisor Dr Th Meera Devi as president of the ceremony.
Prof Sanjib Singh also advised the students as well as the faculty members to take the opportunity of the fest to recharge themselves and to take the chance and build a team spirit.
