Curb violence: Assn to Govt

While stating that no innocent civilian wants to see any ethnic dashes; Struggling Women's Association, Waheng-bam Leikai has said that since the violence occurred due to lapses on the part of the government, it should shoulder the responsibility and do its best to end the violence.
Addressing the media at Manipur Press Club here on Friday, Association secretary Thounaojam Margaret said that the ethnic clashes in the state is politically motivated and as such, there is a need for political solution, not a blood solution.
She continued that the people who have died in the violence are all civilians, but not politicians.
Human lives must not be equated to cheap, dispensable items.
Thus, the Association is ready to assist in the better future of the society, considering the leaders and intellectuals have strayed from their paths, she affirmed.
