Keishamthong Apunba Ema Lup urges Govt to restore internet

Imphal, July 14 2023:
Keishamthong Apunba Ema Lup has appealed to the State Government to restore internet service at the earliest to enable displaced students to attend online classes.
Speaking to media persons today at Manipur Press Club, Keishamthong Apunba Ema Lup president S Shanti Leima lauded the Government's decision to reopen school for students till Class VII from July 5 .
She continued that despite the good move of the Government, parents/ guardians are still apprehensive to send their children to school due to the prevailing situation in the State.
Sharing that many students who have been affected by the present violence are not able to attend classes, she urged the Government to restore internet services to enable students who are unable to go to school to take online classes.

She also urged the Government to carry out a survey to find the total number of students in every district and make necessary arrangements for them to attend classes either physical or online.
Shanti Leima further appealed to the Government to convene an Assembly Session and find a concrete solution to bring peace in the State.
